Art Fundamentals – 2D & 3D design
Course Description
The Visual Arts Department, will offer, for the first time, a version of Art Fundamentals-2D & 3D design this summer that will only be open to students who have completed their 9th grade year. As with other Pingry summer academic programs, it cannot fully replicate a yearlong course, and is designed for advancement only. It will not fulfill a graduation requirement, but will allow forms 4 and 5 students to enroll in a second level art course in the fall, or in the future, that would then fulfill Pingry’s arts graduation requirement. It will not count toward a GPA nor be listed on a transcript. Students must also earn a C+ or better in this course in order to advance to a level two course. All materials are and supplies are provided. (There will be a minimum of 5 students needed in order for to run the course). Art Fundamentals is a prerequisite for all other courses in the visual arts except A.P. Art History.

Program Details
The course will run from June 24- August 2 (no class July 4 and 5)
Times: 8:10am-12:30pm. Lunch will not be served.
In order to use this course for advancement, students are permitted at most 3 absences for the entirety of the course.
